Gary Anderson passed away at Pathways Hospice Care Center at McKee Medical Center on March 25, 2016. Gary was born to Robert and Leona Anderson on June 28,1948. Residing in Haxtun, Co. until he was of Junior High age, moving to Otis, Co. Gary quickly became involved in football, basketball, baseball and track. Participated in these sports thru High School. After graduation he attended Dana College in Nebraska for three years. He then worked east of Otis, farming.
In July 1970 he married Lola, shortly after moved to the Denver area where he worked as a Meat Cutter for King Soopers. Loving sports he joined a fast pitch softball league for several years. During these years several children were born.
Gary and Lola not liking the big city moved to Loveland, Co. Living so close to the mountains, he enjoyed fishing, camping, hiking and photography. He stated living in the Loveland area was like a year round vacation with the mountains being so close.
Retired from King Soopers after 35 years of service. To keep busy he started work with Poudre Valley Hospital in the ER department as an Environmental Service Technician for 6 years and retired in 2013.
Proceeding him in death infant son Lon at 2 weeks old, twin sons Deric and Shawn passing shortly after birth, daughter Crystal passing at 2 days old, his mother Leona and Grandparents.
He is survived by his wife Lola, daughter Christina (husband Rick), Shawn (grandson/son) his significant other Kayleen and son CJ. Grandson Clayton, step grandson Troy significant other Kristen and step great grandson Trayce.
Services to be held at St Paul Lutheran Church, Otis, Co on Saturday, April 2, 2016 at 10:30 am. with Pastor Scott Bieker officiating. There will be an inurnment at a later date in the Otis Cemetery in Otis, Colorado.
