Denny Roy Hastings

Denny Roy Hastings, 75, of Joes, CO died Friday, June 10, 2016. He was born January 3, 1941 in Denver, CO. He married Norma Heiser on March 20, 1964 in Greeley, CO and from this union they were blessed with three children. They moved to a farm in 1974 located in Joes CO where they raised their three children. He had many talents and occupations, which included being a carpenter, farmer, and truck driver. He served in the United States Army from 1960-1966 stationed in Fort Hood, TX. When not working, he enjoyed tractor pulling, driving his 1975 Ford pickup, fishing, and spending time with his grandkids.

He is survived by his Daughter, Diane Origer of Atlanta, GA; Sons, Zane Hastings and wife Dawna Hastings of Joes, CO and Shawn Hastings and wife Jennifer Hastings of Joes, CO; Sister Myrna Holcomb, and brothers Roger Hastings and Randy Hastings and a host of nieces and nephews. His grand children included Lee Hastings, Caleb Origer, Lorna Lydick, Cayla Origer, Tristin Hastings and Eastin Hastings. Great grandchildren include Tyiler Doss and Keenan Lydick.

He was preceded in death by his wife Norma Hastings; parents Kenneth and Dorothy Hastings, and brother Dee Hastings.

Funeral Services will be held at 10am, Friday June 17, 2016 at the Liberty School in Joes, Colorado with Pastor Kenny Lydick officiating. Interment followed at the Kirk Cemetery in Kirk, CO.

Visitation is scheduled for Thursday June 16, 2016 at 6pm at Baucke Funeral Home.
