Amelia “Amy” Ann Wilkening was born on November 2, 1964 to Kenneth William Mooney and Glenna Jean (Jones) Mooney in Bethesda, Maryland.
Amy graduated from Haxtun High School in Haxtun, Colorado in 1983. Amy was in a relationship with Greg Lundgren and they had many great times together. She worked as a bookkeeper for the majority of her life and she was last employed as a bookkeeper for Lundgren Trucking.
Amy was very caring of others and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Amy enjoyed cooking, gardening and reading and was always ready to hear a good joke. She was very proud of her family lineage and thankful for her family and friends in the Haxtun area and abroad.
Amy was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth William and Glenna Jean Mooney.
Amy will be greatly missed by her sisters, Kay Klick of Merced, California; Karen Via of Bealton, Virginia; and Joleen Montrose of Morrison, Colorado; Son, Adam Walter of Fort Morgan, Colorado; Daughter, Hilary Clair of Wheatridge, Colorado; Sons, Christopher Wilkening of Haxtun, Colorado and William Wilkening of Broomfield, Colorado. She also is preceded by her four grandchildren; Makena and Maura Walter (children of Adam and Mary Walter) of Fort Morgan, Colorado and Kennedy and Kendall Clair (children of Hilary and Travis Clair) of Wheatridge, Colorado and her significant other, Greg Lundgren .
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at the United Methodist Church in Haxtun, Colorado with Pastor Jerry Soens officiating. Interment to follow at the Haxtun Cemetery. Baucke Funeral Home directed the service.
