Ragna Alvira Heidtbrink

Ragna Alvira (Noss) Heidtbrink, age 98, passed away on October 8, 2016 at the Yuma Life Care Center, Yuma, CO.

Ragna was born on August 24, 1918 to Peder Noss and Johanna (Wold) Noss of Gary, MN.  She had seven brothers and four sisters.  She grew up and spent the first part of her life on the family farm near Gary.  Her father Immigrated from Norway in 1880, and Ragna learned and spoke the Norwegian language in her home and community, and only learned English after starting school.

On November 3, 1945 she married Edwin Heidtbrink in a home wedding, and shortly after they moved to Fort Lupton, CO.  There she took great pride in her vegetable and flower gardens, and the flower arrangements she created took first place numerous times.  After a number of years in Fort Lupton they moved to Yuma where she continued her master gardening skills.

She was a life long member of the Lutheran church, and was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Yuma.

Ragna was preceded in death by her husband, Ed, her parents, seven brothers and three sisters.  She is survived by one sister, Evelyn Michel of Kennewick, WA, three sister's-in-law, Maxine Noss of E. Grand Forks, MN, Adelle Noss of Crookston, MN, Alice Noss of Twin Valley, MN, nieces and nephews, grand nieces and nephews.

Ragna was a quiet, kind, and loving person who always thought of others before herself,  She truly loved her Lord, and strived each day to live a life pleasing to Him.

Funeral services will be held at St. John's Lutheran Church, 405 South Albany, Yuma, CO on Friday, October 21 at l0:00 a.m.  All are welcome.
