Ray Gene Marshall was born on August 19, 1934 in Burdette, Colorado to William Hayden and Lethia Mary (McCammon) Marshall.  He passed away on October 8, 2015 at his home in Bailey, Colorado at the age of 81.

After graduating from High School Ray attended the Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, Illinois.  He spent most of his working career in the Denver Public School System.

He was a farmer at heart as he farmed and maintained his small acreage.  He loved his orchard and canning all of the fruits and vegetables that were produced.   He attended Bible Study which was very important to him, his favorite bible verse is Ephesians 2:8-9.  It reads: For by grace are we saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man be saved.

He had a hobby of buying new cars loving the satisfaction that comes with driving a new automobile and the challenge of shopping for the next one when the time came.

Ray was preceded in death by his parents William and Lethia Marshall; his wife, Shirley Marshall; his twin brother, Roy Marshall; brothers, William Marshall and Charley Marshall; sister, Wilma Templeton and Dorothy Strick.

He is survived by his sons, Daniel Marshall of Bailey, Colorado and Richard Marshall; brothers, Donny Marshall and Melvin Marshall and his sister, Betty Engler along with many other relatives and friends.
