Dear Bud, DeeAnn, Sherrie and Other Family,
I was so saddened to hear of Marj's passing on Monday in a call from Connie Mayfield...couldn't sleep well...so decided to put my thoughts down in writing during the wee hours of Tuesday. I extend heart-felt condolences to all of you in the sudden loss of Marj. May your memories of her as a wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt help you ALL in working through your grief in the days ahead.
My memories of Maj are few, but I do recall how "in love" you both were, Bud, in your courtship and at your wedding...I also clearly recall her personality essence which was soft-spoken but quite friendly with a "twinkle of humor" in her eyes, and her firm, abiding faith in God...and I also remember her graciously serving refreshments at my wedding 50 years ago as of June 18, 2017. I will miss in the future the personal notes from Marj in your family Christmas card, and I truly wish I could have been present at her service to offer you hugs and comfort in person, Bud, just as you did for my brother Ronnie when you grew up amongst the Jaeger clan.
Connie said that Marj's service was very personal and uplifting, and that the pink roses from the immediate family were especially beautiful. In other words, Marj was well-honored in death by those who knew her well and loved her dearly. God bless you all, and keep in touch at least at Christmas, Bud, and I will do the same.
With Love from Carol
And Deepest Sympathy from Bob and the Chur Family
