Ronald Blacker Obituary

Ronald Ross Blacker of Yuma Colorado passed away on September 20, 2023 at the Yuma District Hospital at the age of 77 of Cardiac Arrest.

Ron was born August 12, 1946 at the Wray Hospital to Ross Leland Blacker and DeEtta Hall Friend. Ron’s early years were spent in the Vernon School.  During Ron’s Middle School years, the family relocated to the Yuma area. Ron would attend the Yuma Schools until he graduated in 1964. While attending the Yuma Schools, Ron met Linda Beach, whom he would go on to marry on March 8, 1965. 

Ron was always involved in Agriculture from Farming to managing several crews setting up irrigation sprinklers and trucking. He went from as an over the road owner operator to driving for FedEx Contractors.  He retired in 2014.

He loved camping and exploring mountain trails. He also experimented with making beautiful concrete counter and tabletops. But his pride and joy was found in refurbishing his 1969 Jeep Commando.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years Linda Beach Blacker of Yuma, daughter Nena K White (Tony) of Yuma, CO, Son Brian R Blacker (Gertrude) of Yuma, CO, Grandchildren Angela K Bonner (Dustin) of Gilbert, AZ, Amber J King of Yuma, CO, Chantz D Lake (Stephanie) of Yuma, CO, Brandon Blacker of Wray, CO. Step Grandchildren Kaity White (Mathew) of Yuma, CO, Nolan White of Longview, TX, Katrina White of Sterling, CO, and Zecharia Blackwood of Ogallala, NE, Nathan and Dakota Marshall of Sterling, CO, Mariah Johns (Josh) of Flippin, AR, and Derek Marshall (Savannah) of Imperial NE, Great-Grandson Lyrik D Lake, Step Great-Grandchildren Myra and Jeremiah Johns, Charlotte Rose Marshall. Sister-in-laws Kathy Anzlovar of Yuma, CO, Donna (Bob) Gissel of Yuma, CO and Brother-in-law Richard Beach of Fort Garland CO.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents Ross Leland Blacker and DeEtta Hall Friend, Father and Mother-in-Law Doral and Nadine Beach, Great Granddaughter Amaiya K. Miracle, Nephew Tyler W. Hardy. 

A private celebration of Life will be at a later date.
