Raymond Webster White

Raymond Webster White was born on July 17, 1937 to Carson Marcelus and Alice Mae (Pilkington) White in Wray, Colorado.  He passed away on November 22, 2018 (Thanksgiving Day) at his home in Otis, Colorado at the age of 81. 

Raymond attended school through the tenth grade. He married the love of his life, Connie Mae (Scott) White on August 15, 1954 at the home of Charles and Cleo Scott northwest of Otis, Colorado. 

Raymond spent most of his working career in the agriculture field.  He worked for Orville Johnson on a Ranch at Sterling, Colorado for twenty years.  He was a self-employed farmer and rancher.  He took over his father's farm during the summer of 1973.  He was an owner and operator of a truck hauling pipe and livestock for several years.  He worked with Washington County District #2 and worked for Sito. 

Raymond was a member of the Otis Volunteer Fire Department.  He loved playing Santa Claus at Christmas time.  He loved Farming and ranching, especially setting on the fence watching over his baby calves and occasionally he enjoyed his beer. 

Raymond was preceded in death by his parents, Carson and Alice White; Brother-in-law, John Harms; brother, Lester White; niece, Ann (Harms) Maggard; nephew, Tony Harms; his mother and father in-law, Charles and Cleo Scott and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Wayne and Betty Brandon.

He is survived by his wife, Connie Mae White a resident of Washington County Nursing Home; sister, Lila Harms of Otis, Colorado; son, Mike White and wife, Julie of Sterling, Colorado; daughter, Charlene White of Phoenix, Arizona; Colleen Watson and husband, Mike of Akron, Colorado and daughter, Tammy Ison of Utah along with several grandchildren, great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.    

There will be a memorial service on Thursday, November 29. 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at Baucke Funeral Chapel in Yuma, Colorado officiated by Pastor Jaime Nieves.  The inurnment will follow at the Otis Cemetery in Otis, Colorado.
