Perry Wise Obituary

Perry Leland Wise went to be with the Lord on August 9th, 2022. He was born on March 29, 1945, to John P. and Helen E. Wise in Stratton, Colorado. They lived on a farm approximately 7 1/2 miles southeast of Kirk, Colorado. Perry attended school in Kirk from 1st grade through the start of 4th. Because of weather conditions for several years and other extenuating circumstances, the family left the farm in 1953 and moved to Webster City, Iowa. Perry attended school there until 1960, when he was moved to Cherokee, Iowa, and was there until the late 1960s, when he moved to Pueblo, Colorado. Pueblo became his community for the rest of his life. During this time, he made many friends and had amazing, loving caregivers. His latest and longest caregivers were the Sparks family and others associated with Sparks Residential and Support Services, Inc. He loved them very much and was happy in their care. Perry never met a stranger. He would strike up a conversation with anyone and loved talking to his friends and family. Both of his families - the one he was born into and the one that took care of him were immensely important to him. He loved them both dearly.

In his younger years, Perry loved to go fishing. Some of his other passions were eating (especially McDonald's), football (Broncos), baseball (Rockies), basketball, popsicles, suckers, beads and opening gifts (especially money!). His favorite genre of movies was old westerns, with John Wayne being the best, of course. He also loved old country-western music.

Perry was preceded in death by his parents, both paternal and maternal grandparents, his brother-in-law, all of his aunts and uncles and two cousins.

He is survived by his sister, Charlotte Dice; his nephew J. Dice; his niece Amber Moore and husband Chris, his great nephew Cody Moore, all of Loveland, along with five cousins and their spouses.
