Peggy Miller Obituary

Peggy Ann Miller of Yuma, Colorado passed away on April 29, 2019 in Englewood, CO due to injuries sustained from a fall.

Peggy was born May 2, 1934 in Harper County, Kansas to Homer Earl Babcock and Eva Irene Imel, the second of three children.  She attended Anthony High School, in Anthony, KS, and became engaged to the love of her life, Dean, the evening of their senior prom.  Peggy and Dean married July 12, 1952 in Anthony, and went on to have three children: Doug, Cathy, and Brian.

Peggy was an amazing friend, wife, mother, and grandmother who fully embraced life.  She loved people and loved entertaining.  When Dean and Peggy celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary, they hosted a three-day party. Friends and family came from all over the country to share in the celebration. They repeated the event for their 50th anniversary. If you visited Dean and Peggy, you would be treated to delicious food that made most people overeat, and lots of games of poker, Mexican Train Dominoes or bridge.

Peggy enjoyed cooking, traveling, shopping, and spoiling her grandchildren.  Her clothing was stylish and she was always perfectly accessorized.  She could work magic with slot machines that most people could only dream about. She had a sparkle in her eye that showed itself when was teasing. She was incredibly hard-working and eminently trustworthy, and every single family member in her life knew beyond a shadow of a doubt that they were loved by her.

Peggy is survived by her husband Dean of Yuma, her son Doug and his wife Terry of Rocky Ford, her daughter Cathy of Haxtun, her niece Julie of Florida, as well as 8 grandchildren; Jennifer of Bandon, Oregon, Chris and his wife Coral of Castle Pines,  Marcie and her husband Joe of O’Fallon, Illinois, Lindsay of Thornton, Jesse and her husband Dan of Longmont, Alica of Yuma, Jené of Yuma, Jaime and her husband Alan of Brighton, and 24 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by sisters-in law Marilyn of Ringwood Oklahoma, and Carol of Yuma.

She was preceded in death by her son Brian, her parents Earl and Eva, her brother Lewis and her sister Nona.
