Pauline Alice Dennis

Pauline Alice was born February 8, 1940 at Liberal Kansas.  She was the oldest of 4 children born to William and Irma (Issacs) Ediger. She entered heaven’s gates March 1, 2023.

In June of 1950 the family moved from the Panhandle of Oklahoma to the Yuma area.   Pauline graduated from Yuma High School in 1958 and then attended business school in Denver, graduating in 1959.  While working in Sterling, she met Larry Dennis.  They were married July 2, 1960 and in 1961 moved back to the farm in the Eckley area.  Their daughters, Shelly Rae, Sherry Lynn and Terri Ann were born while they lived on the farm at Eckley.  Their daughter, Terri Ann lost her life in a car accident in March of 1995.  In 1970 the family moved to their home northwest of Yuma.  With the girls in school in Otis, Pauline began working at the Farmers State Bank in 1973 leaving there in 1989.  Then in 1993 she began working at Farm Credit, retiring in 2002 to run her home embroidery business.  In 2016 she and Larry formally retired and moved back to Eckley. Her greatest joy was being with her family and working in her garden and with the farm animals.            

Pauline was preceded in death by her parents, William and Irma Ediger, daughter, Terri Ann, parent in-laws, Lowell and Alta Dennis, sister in-law, Barbara Dennis and nephew, Greg Humphrey.  She is survived by Larry, her husband of 62 years,  daughters Shelly & Mark Combs Denver CO,  Sherry and Mark Murphy , Yuma CO,  Grandchildren, Jessica Nelsen (Jon) Denver CO,  Trevor Neb (Amanda) Yuma CO, Tabatha Baucke (Patrick) Yuma CO, Savanna Neb Washington D.C., Kaitlyn Combs Omaha NE and Jacob Combs, Phoenix AZ  and Justin Combs (Megan), Omaha NE  Great Grandchildren, Mason Nelsen, Madison Nelsen, Carson Neb, Madison Davis, Remingtyn Geworsky, Breck Baucke, Grayson Combs and Maizie Combs.  Sisters, Marjorie Ediger, Cordell OK, Hazel  Ediger, Wray, and  brother, Earl Ediger also of Wray.  Brother-in- Law Jerry and Thu Dennis of Murrieta, CA  and Nephew, Mike Humphrey (Lorie) of Ft. Collins CO and their families.
