Patricia "Pat" Villines Obituary

Patricia Ann Villines, of Yuma, Colorado went to be with the lord on November 23, 2023 at the age of 89 years old. Patricia was born in Yuma, CO on March 17, 1934. She was the older of two children born to Jacob and Marie Beien in Yuma, CO.

In the 40’s Patricia and her family moved to Boulder, CO. Patricia began her schooling and education at the Sacred Heart Catholic School from grades 1st thru 8th then attended Casey Jr. High her 9th grade year and then attended Boulder High Schoo! graduating in 1952. On May 22, 1954 she married Douglas Richards. The family moved back to Yuma in 1965. They enjoyed a loving, wonderful marriage for 25 years. Douglas and Patricia were blessed with five children. Kent, Gregg, Todd, Michael, and Amy. Douglas passed away from a massive heart attack at the age of 46 in August of 1979.

Patricia's working career began as a telephone operator. She spent several years delivering drugs for the local drug store and was a teller at Farmers State Bank in Yuma for many years. While doing her teller duties, she was approached by a customer whom got his nerve up to ask her out on a date. She accepted the date offer and on February 14, 1981 Patricia married Jack Villines. Together they raised their blended family of seven children (aka the Brady Bunch plus one).

Patricia enjoyed doing so many different things. She loved playing cards with the supper club and played bridge with the ladies. She loved to be outside in her yard or her garden. She was blessed with many talents as she was always crafting something. She loved cooking, baking, and canning fruits and vegetables. In 2005 she published her own cookbook called Kitchen Keepsakes from Pat Villines. Her favorite holiday was Christmas. She would start preparing Christmas candies for family and friends months in advance. She was known to hide the candies so that they were not all gone prior to Christmas day but on several occasions had forgotten all her hiding spots and would find them hidden under beds or in closets well after the holidays. Patricia also spent countless hours sewing and

quilting, making blankets for her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She also loved to knit and crochet. She knitted and crochet many blankets, children's clothing and stocking hats. She loved donating the stocking hats to hospitals for the children who were hospitalized with illnesses. When she was not sewing or knitting, or crocheting she was busy sorting pictures and enjoyed

making scrap books for her family. She loved spending time in the mountains. When her children were young, she and Doug spent every summer vacation in Red Feather lakes. Her and Jack also spent a lot of time with their children and grandchildren at their trailer in Estes Park. They also loved being snow birds in Arizona. Her greatest joys of all was spending time with her family, loving on her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Patricia lived a full and wonderful life.
