Norma Grace Jackson was born October 21, 1929 in Abarr, Colorado to Carl and Maddie Higgins. Norma passed away on March 12, 2024 in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
While Norma was younger she went to a room school house in Abarr, Colorado where later on she attended Yuma High school. She graduated from Yuma High School.
After World War II she got engaged to Herman Elvis Jackson and they went to Kansas to be married. Her mother did not approve of Herman but her Father went to the wedding. They were wed on June 7, 1947 and were married for 63 years before Herman’s passing on November 15, 2010.
During Norma’s working years she worked at the First National Bank in Westminster, Colorado. She held many titles at the bank but the one she referred to as a book keeper.
Norma is survived by her sister Thelma Buetell, Children Barbara Hughes, Jerry Jackson and Gary Joe Jackson, along with 9 grandchildren.
Norma is preceded in death by her husband, Herman Jackson, Siblings: Roy Higgins, Robert, Alonzo, Donald, Merle, Austin, Sisters Goldean Mitchell, Rosie Darnell, and Florence Pletcher.
Funeral Service – March 21, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. held at the Baucke Funeral Home in Yuma, Colorado. Interment followed at the Yuma Cemetery. Dr. Douglas Peirson officiated the service and Baucke Funeral Home was in trusted with the arrangements.
