Mary Alice "Gram" (Crossland) Pearson passed away on February 16, 2021, at the age of 79, in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She was born July 18, 1941 in rural Phillips County, Colorado to Arlie and Marie Crossland. She was the fourth of seven children. She and her siblings were raised on "the family farm". Though she ended up in the city she remained a farm girl at heart.
She loved being outdoors and taking part in outdoor activities such as fishing, camping and gardening. She was an excellent seamstress making clothing for herself during her high school years as well as making clothing for her children and grandchildren. She was quite the handyman and could fix just about anything given enough time. Her other hobbies included bowling and quilting but most of all spending time with her grandchildren.
Most of her career was spent serving others as a cook. She worked in a variety of facilities including Granby Public Schools, Yuma nursing home, the State Veteran's Center in Monte Vista, Colorado and St.Anthony's hospital in Denver.
She was a quiet person with a spunky side that loved to live and laugh.
She is survived by her siblings Lois Serl, Marjorie Kain and David Crossland as well as her sister-in-law Marita Crossland; her children Julia Copley, Theresa Crites, Sheryl Nordberg (Eric), Michael Copley (Lori); her grandchildren Nathan Cheatwood (Kensie), Calvin Nordberg (Rachel) Amanda Nordberg, Lyndsey Felver and Jesse Sherwood; her great-grandchildren Kellen, Bennett and Cody a.k.a. "The Boys", Lilly, Katie, Wyatt, and Jayrd; as well as her faithful companion Roxie.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Arlie and Marie; her brothers, Raymond, Paul and Wesley; and the love of her life Donald Pearson.
