Mary Alice Lewis

Mary Alice (Roberts) Lewis was born on March 14, 1940 to Ralph H. and Ruby (Stalcup) in Albion, Nebraska.  She passed away on October 24, 2023 at the Hillcrest Care Center in Wray, Colorado following a short illness, she was 83. 

Mary moved to Colorado in 1956.  She graduated from Lyons High School in 1958. Mary attended CU in Boulder with the hopes of becoming a Home Economics teacher. 

Mary was a homemaker but also worked in a coffee shop in Lyons.  She moved to Yuma in 2000 where she volunteered with Yuma’s Meet and Eat, she really enjoyed meeting and working with the Seniors. 

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Ruby Roberts and grandson, Jonathan Marr.  She is survived by her daughter, Margaret Marr and her husband, Don of Yuma, Colorado; grandson, Robby Marr and Lexi and little great grandson Landry of Ridgeway, Colorado; brothers, Paul H. Roberts and Janis of Sidney, Nebraska; Bill F. Roberts and Vollie of Albuquerque, New Mexico; sister Sue Ann Moore and Ely of Iowa along with a niece and several nephews, great nieces and nephews other relatives and friends. 

There will be an Irish Wake for family and friends on November 18, 2023, from 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.  at the Indian Hills Golf Course in Yuma, Colorado.  For more information call Baucke Funeral Home.
