Mary Hinck

Mary McKearnan Hinck, 65, passed away on April 27, 2026, at UCHealth Highlands Ranch Hospital in Colorado. 

Mary was born in Cook County, Illinois, and moved with her family to Colorado in 1972. She spent most of her school years in Colorado, graduating from high school in 1979, and continued her education with two years of college in Colorado’s Western Slope. 

Throughout her life, Mary held many jobs, but they all shared a common thread—she loved working with people and serving their needs. She was often the first face you would see when entering a business, quickly learning your name and greeting you as a friend. Her signature laugh and warm, genuine kindness made her presence unmistakable. 

Mary found joy in life’s simple and beautiful moments. She loved watching bumblebees drift among the flowers in her garden, and on warm, sunny days she could often be found sitting peacefully, taking in the sights and sounds of God’s creation around her. 

She is survived by her loving husband, Rick Hinck of Holyoke, Colorado; her son, Shane O’Keefe of Denver, Colorado; her sisters, Shawn and husband Paul of Ridgway, Colorado, Carol and husband Tom of Salida, Colorado, and Beth of Montrose, Colorado; as well as many nieces, nephews, and grandchildren. 

Mary was preceded in death by her father, Neil J. McKearnan, and her mother, Helen J. McKearnan. 

A celebration of Mary’s life will be held at 10:30 a.m. on May 16, 2026, at the First Christian Church in Holyoke, Colorado. Baucke Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Mary will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
