With heavy hearts, we share that Lisa Boyd, age 66, of Holyoke, CO, passed away peacefully on March 12, 2026, in Omaha, NE.

Lisa was born on June 3, 1959, in Holyoke, CO, to Wayne and Donna (Sack) Rafert. She attended school in Amherst, CO, and finished in Holyoke. She married her high school sweetheart, Randy Boyd, in 1975 and started a family with Wendy that year. Ten years later, Dustin blessed their lives to make them a family of four. Lisa primarily spent her time raising her children and being very involved in their school activities, church, 4-H, and sporting events. She also sold Tupperware and worked for BOCES on the side.

To know Lisa was to know how deeply she cared for those around her. As a schoolroom mother, she was the kind of person who put in extra effort to make events special. She also enjoyed being a Sunday School and Bible School teacher so she could spread her faith with others. She made holiday and family events extra special by adding her special touches and carrying on family traditions through generations.

Lisa brought love and warmth into the lives of everyone around her. She had a way of making people feel cared for.  She found joy in the everyday moments with family and friends. Lisa was smart, loving, and kind, and made sure God and her family were the center of her life.

She is lovingly remembered by her husband Randy Boyd, children Wendy Boyd and Dustin Boyd, daughter-in-law Kathryn Boyd, granddaughter Aubrey Boyd, step-grandson Keegan Jensen, and brother Gary Rafert, and by the many friends and loved ones whose lives she touched.

She was preceded in death by parents Wayne and Donna Rafert, sister Lonnie Krieg, nephew Jeremy Krieg, grandparents Edward and Luella Sack, and George and Olga Rafert, and many aunts and uncles.

A memorial service will be held on March 21, 2026, at 2:00 PM at St Paul’s Lutheran church in Amherst. Internment will be at the Amherst Cemetery following the service.

In lieu of flowers and as a reflection of the faith, the family asks that memorials be made to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Lisa’s memory.

Though our hearts are broken from her sudden death, we find comfort in knowing Lisa’s love and memories remain woven into our lives forever.
