Linda Klassen, 71, passed away on July 1, 2025, in Joes, Colorado.
Born on August 19, 1953, in Wray, Colorado, Linda was a proud native of the Eastern Plains. She graduated from Liberty High School and remained deeply connected to her roots throughout her life.
Linda shared a devoted life with her husband Darrell. Together they raised two children: Ginger White and her husband Brady, and Corey Klassen and his wife Robyn. Linda also cherished the close bonds she had with her sisters Patricia Greene (and husband Tim) and Barbara Butkovich (and husband Jim). Her legacy continues through many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren who brought joy to her life.
She was preceded in death by her parents Carl and Detta Walker; her in-laws Paul and Joyce Klassen; her nephew Justin Church; and her grandparents Louis Walker, Nellie Thornberg, Louis Scharff and Eva Beisel.
Linda had a deep love for the outdoors and found joy in simple pleasures. She loved riding horses across the open plains and had a remarkable talent for painting oil pictures—capturing beauty with every brushstroke. Golfing and fishing were among her favorite pastimes, especially when shared with family.
In Lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Plainsmen Golf Course. 11489 CO RD 3, Kirk, CO 80824 and Grassroots Community Center, 6671 Highway, Joes, CO 80822.
May Linda’s memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved her. A Celebration of Life will be held on August 23, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Grassroots Community Center 6671 Hwy 36
