Kelley Dean Hunt

Kelley Dean Hunt, was born on February 22, 1958 and adopted to Charles Evert Hunt, Jr. and Leona May (Salvador) Hunt. He passed away unexpectedly on December 9, 2024. His departure leaves a profound void in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. Kelley is a 1976 graduate of Haxtun High School.

Born with a deep connection to the land, Kelley found joy and purpose in farming—a passion that shaped much of his early life. Later, he embarked on a career as an over-the-road truck driver, where he embraced the open road with determination and resilience. Whether tending to fields or navigating highways across the country, Kelley’s work reflected a rock-steady spirit and dedication.

Kelley is survived by his wife, Min Liu; a son Dustin (Kelsey) Hunt of Aberdeen, South Dakota and grandsons, Wesson and Oakley. He is also survived by his mother, Leona Hunt of Haxtun, Colorado and his sister, Mindy Hunt of Sterling, Colorado. Kelley was preceded in death by his father, Charles Hunt.
