James Curtis Drullinger was born on June 28, 1928 to Harrison Winfield Drullinger and Jennie (Hackney) Drullinger in Atwood, Kansas. He passed away on August 25, 2021 due to complications from Covid at the Colorado Plains Medical Center in Fort Morgan, Colorado at the age of 93.
Jim graduated from Cope High School.
Jim married Rosemarie Rudnik in Kansas. To this union three children were born Larry Curtis, Danny Ray and Kathleen Ann Drullinger. Rosemarie passed away in October of 1989. Jim later married Joan L. Stephen and her three children joined the family, Bob, Steve and Robin Rogers.
Jim was a farmer, rancher, entrepreneur, and inventor. Jim had several of his own creations such as a Curly Q potato cutter, strawberry picker and his current project was a perpetual motion machine which the precision of the detailed drawing was amazing. Jim was always fixing something usually making it better than new.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Harrison and Jennie Drullinger; his first wife, Rosemarie; son, Danny Ray Drullinger; son, Larry Curtis Drullinger and wife Charlene;
Jim is survived by his wife, Joan Drullinger; daughter, Kathleen Drullinger; daughter-in-law, Brenda Drullinger; grandchildren, BJ Drullinger; Tabitha Drullinger; Corey Drullinger and wife Rachael; Milo Cheshire and partner Amanda Johnson; Dayton Drullinger and wife, Megan; Travis Varelman; Lyle Rogers and Sara Wood and husband, Dwain; great grandchildren, Colton, Jolene, Tori, Hayden, Morgan, Garrett, Hunter, Logan and Emmaline, Haedyn, Laramie, Georgia, Lola Jean and Natalie along with other relatives and friends.
Visitation – Tuesday, August 31, 2021 at 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. at Baucke Funeral Home in Yuma, Colorado. Graveside service - Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. at the Cope Cemetery in Cope, Colorado. Baucke Funeral Home directed the service.
