Freda “Darlene” (Lovitt) Kuntz

1939 – 2022

Freda Darlene (Lovitt) Kuntz was born on October 6, 1939 to Floyd Ernest and Esther Eva (Brown) Lovitt in Imperial, Nebraska.  She passed away on September 7, 2022 at East Morgan Hospital in Brush, Colorado at the age of 82. 

Darlene graduated in 1957 from High School in Yuma, Colorado.  Following high school she attended Cosmetology school in Denver, Colorado.  In spite of it all, Darlene believed being a wife and mother for sixty plus years was the greatest education of all.

Darlene married Philip Kuntz on August 16, 1958 in Golden, Colorado. 

Darlene’s working career consisted of several different professions.  She was a beautician for two years in Englewood, Colorado, ran a day care at her home in Littleton, Colorado for seven years.  She managed a dry cleaning shop, clerked for the Post Office until 1970. She was an Avon Representative for twenty-two years, however she said wife and mother was the best job of all.

Darlene was preceded in death by her father Floyd Lovitt; mother, Esther Lippincott and step-father, John Lippincott.

Darlene is survived by her husband, Phil Kuntz; son, Brian Kuntz of Leominster, Massachusetts; daughter, Brenda Deaton of Flower Mound, Texas; five brothers, Bud Lovitt of Decator, Arkansas; Ron Lovitt of Akron, Colorado; Jim Lippincott of Porterville, California; Bob Lippincott of Ocala, Florida; Dan Lippincott of Broomfield, Colorado; seven grandchildren, Jessica, Marissac, Madeline and Lily Kuntz all of Leominster, Massachusetts; Chance, Brigham and Blythe Deaton all of Flower Mound, Texas  along with many other relatives and friends.
