Elaine Robertson was born on March 3, 1925 to Lewis Ross and Nancy Oleana (Muirheid) Twedell in Bethany, Missouri. She passed away on October 3, 2020 at the age of 95, in Akron, Colorado.
Elaine attended school through the eighth grade and then went to work for her parents. She attained her GED around 1965 and spent the rest of her life learning and working.
Elaine married Eugene H. Robertson on February 24, 1950 in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Eugene passed away in 1977.
Elaine began her working career as a Hair Stylist with several beauty shops until her shoulder gave out in the mid 1970’s and was a secretary for Bill’s Buildings for several years. In 1980 she joined the Shop All Family and worked there until May of 2007 making many longstanding relationships along the way.
Elaine was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Yuma for many years and in the 1980’s began attending New Life Christian Center until her health prohibited her attendance.
Elaine’s love of the Lord was her driving force. She began each day and ended each day with prayer. She was an avid reader, an accomplished seamstress and wonderful cook. She enjoyed tending her flowerbeds and homemaking
Elaine will be missed by her family, son, Gregory Ross and daughter, Gail Dawn; grandchildren, nieces, nephews along with other relatives and friends, whom were all beloved to her.
There will be a funeral service on Thursday, October 8, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at the New Life Christian Center in Eckley, Colorado with Pastor Glen Kline officiating. Interment will follow at the Yuma Cemetery in Yuma, Colorado. Baucke Funeral Home directed the service.
