Doris Deane Christina (Kerst) Imhof

Doris Dean Cristina (Kerst) Imhof was born in Yuma, Colorado on February 8, 1931 to William and Lizzie Kerst.  She was the youngest of five.  Doris passed away on September 18, 2022 at the Yuma Hospital at the age of 91. 

Doris married Glen Imhof on April 24, 1949.  They made their home and raised their five children at Lone Star.  Leslie, Doug, Eldon, Kim, and Kellie.  

Doris spent many happy years working at Yuma Life Care and Yuma District Hospital where she made many life long friends. 

Doris was preceded in death by her parents William and Lizzy, her siblings Orlie Kerst, Harold (Stub) Kerst, Ople Mekelburg and Bernard Kerst.  Her husband Glen and her daughter Kellie.

Doris leaves behind her children, Leslie, Doug (Teresa), Eldon, Kim (Kathy) and son-in-law, Jim Swopes; twelve grandchildren; Crystal, Jacob, Evan (Stacey), Justin (Jamie), Karie, Eoin, Elizabeth, Ethan (Keri), Amy (Karl), Stacy (Stefanie), Jeffrey and Sadie; twelve great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. 

Funeral Service – Friday, September 23, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. at Baucke Funeral Chapel with John Schaffner officiating.  Interment will be at the Yuma Cemetery.
