Donald "Digger" Dean Bueltell

Donald “Digger” Dean Bueltell was born on August 5, 1938 in Yuma, Colorado ti Anthony and Frances Irene (Worley) Bueltell.  He passed away at his home in Yuma, Colorado on December 7, 2024 at the age of 86.

Donnie attended the Yuma Schools.  Donnie was a life-long rancher and excavator doing a lot of various work for the community from digging basements, sewer lines, water lines and even included grave digging for several years. 

Donnie was a member of the Yuma Fire Department.  He enjoyed Fishing and hunting, The Bueltell family was able to go fly fishing in Crested Butte for three days along two different rivers.  The family was looking forward to a fly fishing trip coming up this summer in Wyoming but unfortunately Donnie’s presence will be greatly missed. 

Donnie will be greatly missed by his family and the Yuma community.  He was always willing to share his abundance of knowledge with others. 

Donnie was preceded in death by his parents, Francis and Anthony; wife, Ilene; son, Shannon and several of his siblings.

Donnie is survived by his sons, Derek (Missy) and Quentin Bueltell; grandchildren, Morgan and Tyler Ernst; Brody Bueltell and Anton Bueltell; sister, Karen (Bueltell) Whitman along with several other relatives and friends.

As for Donnie’s request, there will not be a service for him.
