Dolores “Dodie” Marie Haskell was born on November 8, 1933 to Alois Thomas and Elva Pearl (Greene) Krogmeier in Fort Madison, Iowa. She passed away on February 7, 2025 at her home in Holyoke, Colorado, she was 91.
Dolores completed High School after High School she married Keith Gaskill on July 3, 1951. Together Dolores and Keith had 2 children, Kenny and Cathy. Keith passed on September 19, 1964. She later married Gerald Leon Haskell and the family was joined by his children, Randy, Karen and Sharon. Leon passed on February 1, 2009.
Dolores was employed at the Holyoke Community Federal Credit Union where she rose in the office to the position of President. She also worked for Highline Electric as part of the office staff.
Dolores enjoyed spending time with her family, sewing and baking. She made and decorated numerous wedding cakes and made a lot of chocolate goodies and enjoyed giving them away to family and friends.
Dolores was preceded in death by her parents, Alois and Elva Krogmeier and husbands, Keith Gaskill and Leon Haskell; daughter, Cathy Heltenberg; brothers, Thomas, Gene, Vince and Phillip Krogmeier; sisters, Betty Kafka and Shirley Krogmeier.
She is survived by sons, Kenny(Karol) Gaskill and Randy Haskell; son-in-law, Bill Heltenberg; daughter, Karen Wilcox, daughter, Sharon Peckham ; brother Bill Krogmeier, along with ten grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Rosary – Tuesday at St. Patrick Catholic Church at 7:00
Funeral Mass – Wednesday, February 12, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. officiated by Father Jerry Rohr. Interment followed at the Holyoke Cemetery. Baucke Funeral Home directed the service.
