Debra Elizabeth Banaka, beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 21st, 2024, at the age of 62, surrounded by her loved ones.

Born on October 28, 1961, in Brush, Colorado, Deb touched the lives of everyone she met with her infectious smile and spunky spirit. She grew up at Jumbo Reservoir and after high school, attended hair school in Fort Collins, CO, and began her career as a beloved beautician at Ardies, later Veronicas. On October 27th, 1983, Deb married Jerry at the Methodist church in Holyoke, CO. She proudly won 1st place in the Powder Puff Mud Races in Proctor, Colorado, in 1985. An active member of her community, Deb had a passion for flower gardening and was strong in her Christian faith. She cherished summers at the lake with her family.

Deb is survived by her husband Jerry, children Elizabeth and husband Brent, Larry, Christina and husband Steven; grandchildren Lili, Lexus, Lucy, and Juniper. Mother Sandra, step-mother Rosie, Brothers David and Erv. And many other nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws, and lifelong friends.

Deb was preceded in death by her father Jim, step-father Tommy, brother Daniel.

Deb will be remembered as the life of the party, dancing in the kitchen to songs on the radio, and delighting in pranks like short-sheeting beds at family reunions. She enjoyed dressing up in costumes to bring joy and embarrassment to her kids and grandkids at school and events, always going out of her way to show kindness to those she loved.
