Darlene Mae Weis

Darlene Mae Weis, 96, of rural Holyoke, Colorado passed away December 1, 2025 in Melissa Memorial Hospital.

Darlene was born in Julesburg, Colorado on September 4, 1929. She attended school in the Ovid/Julesburg area.

Darlene married Kenneth Eugene Weis on January 8, 1954.

After moving to Holyoke, Darlene worked at grocery stores in town. One was owned by Dale Hofmeister. After that, she changed to farm life for her remaining years.

Darlene loved dancing to country and western music, playing cards and various games, and putting together jigsaw puzzles. Her pets were also important to her.

Darlene is survived by her son, Randy Ray Weis, daughter-in-law, Renee (Sloan) Weis, special friend, Dora Gregory, and cousins and friends.

Darlene was preceded in death by the father and mother, Harvey and Martha (Henni) Galitz, her husband, Kenneth Eugene Weis, aunts, uncles, cousins, and special friends.

Interment will be held in the Holyoke Cemetery.
