Dale Bruton McPheron of Yuma, Colorado was born on April 12, 1941 to Donald Adams and Florence (Bruton) McPheron in Fort Benning, Georgia. He passed away at his home in Yuma, Colorado on June 18, 2020.
Dale attended Junior High at Fort Monroe, Virginia and graduated from High School at Stillwater, Oklahoma. He served in the US Army in 1959 – 1961. He attended at the Merchant Marine Academy in 1961. After his time in the service he furthered his education at Oklahoma State University beginning in 1962.
Dale married Donna Lee (Johnson) McPheron in Ventura, California. To this union four sons were born Todd, Brian, Robert, and Christopher.
Dale had a wide variety of careers during his working years. He worked as a Mudlogger for twenty years and was a partner in Xpert Logging during that time. Dale and Donna owned and operated Westside Café (aka Pizza Place) for twenty years and the final phase of his careers was at the Yuma Ethanol Plant from 2010 – 2017.
Dale enjoyed playing golf and snooker and loved listening to Opera Music.
Dale was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Florence McPheron. He is survived by his wife, Donna; sons, Todd, Brian, Robert and Christopher and their spouses; grandchildren, Cian, Connor, Koden, Malachi, Kaleb and Isaac; sisters, Tonai Winborn of Dallas, Texas; and Patricia McPheron of Albuquerque, New Mexico and brother, Don McPheron of Pensacola, Florida.
There will be a memorial service at the First Southern Baptist Church in Yuma, Colorado with Chris Mulder officiating at 11:30 a.m on July 11, 2020. There will be a private family inurnment prior to the memorial service at the Yuma Cemetery on July 11, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. Arrangements were by Baucke Funeral Home. Memorials can be given in Dale’s name to a charity of your choice.
