Clara Minnie Keller

Clara Minnie (Aust) Keller was born on January 26, 1940 to John and Maria (Homburg) Aust in Ellis, Kansas.  She passed away on December 14, 2018, at the age of 78, at the Washington County Nursing Home in Akron, Colorado with her family at her side. 

Clara attended school in Ellis, Kansas and graduated with the class of 1957.  Clara married Herman Otto Keller on November 7, 1959 in Ellis, Kansas and to this union one daughter, debbie was born. Herman and Clara spent thirty-six years together before Herman passed on January 4, 1996. 

Clara’s working career began at Coast-to-Coast, Equity Co-op and later moved to the banking industry where she worked for thirty-eight years at World Savings and later at Bank of Colorado. 

Clara was a lady of many talents she was always crafting something along with her quilting and knitting, she enjoyed playing Bingo and cards. 

Clara was preceded in death by her parents, John and Maria Aust; husband, Herman Keller, sisters, Helen Aust and Alice Ann Aust; brother-in-laws, Arnold Keller, and Argus Fabrizius; sister-in-laws, Fern Keller and Adaline Fabrizius. 

Clara is survived by her daughter, debbie Zwirn and husband, Russell; grandson Levi Zwirn and Morgan Burke; sister, Adabelle and husband, Ernest Zachman; brother-in-law, Wilbert Keller and sister-in-law, Joann Keller along with many other relatives and friends.

The funeral service was held on Wednesday, December 20, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Otis, Colorado with Pastor Scott Bieker officiating.  Interment to follow at the Yuma Cemetery in Yuma, Colorado.  Baucke Funeral Home directed the service.
