Christine “Chris” Lavina Ediger was born on September 30, 1928 to Donald H. Still and Leota Lavina (Wyer) Still in Liberal, Kansas. Chris passed away on June 27, 2024 at The Harmony Home in Yuma, Colorado at the age of 95.
Following High School Chris received her associated degree from Northeastern Junior College in Sterling, Colorado.
Chris married Ed Ediger and to this union one daughter, Robin Cheree`, was born.
Chris began her working career in the Otis Schools and later moved to Denver and worked in the accounting department at the Samsonite Luggage Company for over 30 years until she retired. She also worked part time at Bea’s Bridal in Denver on the weekends.
After retiring she moved to Texas for several years and enjoyed the company of her sister’s family.
She returned to Yuma, Colorado and enjoyed living at the Yuma High Plains Manor for several years where she made friends with several of the residents at the Manor. Chris was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Yuma.
Chris was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Leota Still. Her sister, Donna and her husband, Bob and her ex-husband who remained a friend, Ed Ediger.
Chris is survived by her daughter, Robin Baucke and husband, Ron; grandchildren, Ty (Amanda) Baucke; Tristyn (Blake) Roth all of Yuma and Taryn (Hank) Jackson of Chadron, Nebraska; four great grandchildren, Rhett, Wiley and Bowen Roth and Levi Baucke; niece Cherri (David) McAdoo and great niece, Chandler along with other relatives and friends.
Chris will be laid to rest with her family at the Liberal Cemetery in Kansas.
