Catherine Ruth Heltenberg

Catherine Ruth Heltenberg was born on December 21st, 1953 to Warren Keith and Dolores Marie (Krogmeier) Gaskill in Holyoke, Colorado.  She passed away due to heart failure on Friday, March 26th, 2021 in Greeley, Colorado at the age of 67.

Cathy attended the Holyoke schools.  She married William Paul Heltenberg on December 12th, 1972, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Holyoke, Colorado

Cathy served as a cook for 17 years at Saint Mary’s School in West, Texas before retiring and moving back to Holyoke. 

Cathy enjoyed spending time with family, pampering her grandchildren, and gardening. 

Cathy was preceded in death by her father Warren Keith Gaskill. 

Cathy is survived by her mother Dolores Krogmeier of Holyoke, Colorado, her brother Kenny Gaskill of Amherst, Colorado and her loving husband Bill Heltenberg of Heltenberg;;;;Holyoke, Colorado.  Additionally, she is survived by her three children: Christopher and wife Melissa Heltenberg of Waco, Texas; Gina and husband Eric Rice of Middletown, Maryland; and Sarah and husband Tommy Britt of Rangely, Colorado.  Her seven grandchildren are Ambie, William, Jacob, Trey, Jayden, Zoie and Ashlynn. 

Visitation and Rosary: Wednesday, March 31st, 2021 at 1:00pm – 6:00pm (Rosary at 6:00pm) at Baucke Funeral Home, 1220 SW Interocean Drive, Holyoke, Colorado 80734.   

Funeral Service: Thursday, April 1, 2021 at 10:30am, St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 519 Interocean Avenue, Holyoke, Colorado 80734 with Father Jerry Rohr officiating.  Interment will follow the funeral services at the Holyoke Cemetery, Holyoke Colorado. 

 In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Cathy’s name to the American Heart Association.
