Carol Mae Tucek

Carol Mae Tucek, 82, passed away peacefully with her daughter by her side on July 7, 2025, in Colorado Springs. Carol was born on December 12, 1942, in Colorado Springs to Wilfred and Alberta Duckworth. Carol married Perry Mekelburg and had two beautiful children, Shelly and Eric. Carol loved the Lord, her family, her church family and friends, bowling, reading, the mountains, fishing and she developed a love of cooking after retiring. Carol had a great sense of humor that she was always sharing with family and friends.

Carol is survived by daughter Shelly (Fiancé Tom), and son Eric; grandchildren Zachary (Leaura), Justin (Anna), and Lindsey (Alan); great-grandchildren, Lillian, Ava, Harleigh, and Dallas; sister Sharon; nieces Brenda and Pandora (Fiancé Clint); grandniece Amanda and grandnephew Jeffery

Carol was preceded in death by parents Wilfred and Alberta; siblings Phyllis, Ronald, Robert, and Lance.

A memorial service will be held at the Baucke Funeral Home in Yuma, Colorado on July 12, 2025, at 10:30 am.
