Ben "Boomer" Margarito Ybarra

Ben “Boomer” Ybarra was born on June 8, 1972 to Bennie Ybarra and Maria Aniseta Trujillo in Brush, Colorado.  He passed away on June 10, 2023 at the Yuma District Hospital in Yuma, Colorado at the age of 51.

Boomer married Sonja Dee (Packer) Ybarra on October 8, 1994 in Fort Morgan, Colorado.  This union was joined by three children, Kaler, Brendan and Alysah.

Boomer worked in various jobs from a concrete finisher to a Deli worker. 

Boomer loved spending time with his grandson, Jax and was anxiously waiting for two more grandchildren Bennie and his first granddaughter, Freyah Raine to come.  He loved fishing, gardening and wrestling.

Boomer was called the man of nine lives by many, beating any health condition that came along……..until this one. 

Boomer was preceded in death by her father, Bennie Ybarra and sister, Brenda Ybarra;  he is survived by his wife, Sonja; son Kaler Ybarra and wife, Skyler and granddaughter, Freyah of Granby, Colorado; son, Brendan Ybarra and wife Kiara and grandsons, Jax and Bennie of Yuma, Colorado; daughter, Alysah Ybarra of Yuma, Colorado; mother, Maria Ybarra of Greeley, Colorado and nephew, Dallas Meza and wife Consuela and niece, Vienney along with many other relatives and friends. 

Graveside Service – Friday, June 16, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at the Yuma Cemetery in Yuma, Colorado.  In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred.
