He attended Louisville and Longmont High Schools where he enjoyed playing football and wrestling. Wayne graduated from Longmont High School in 1960.
In 1962 Wayne married Donna Fulton. To this union four boys were born. Adam and Grant were born near Longmont. In 1966 Wayne and Donna moved to Yuma to farm where Kent and Alex were born. Unfortunately Donna died of cancer on December 3, 1974. In 1983 Wayne married Kathryn Stirling. He had the four boys, and Kathy had a boy and three girls: Rick, Jennifer, Lindsay, and Cheryl. They adopted each other’s children and had a wonderful life together. On June 11, 1989 tragedy struck. Wayne and Kathy, while on vacation in Florida were in a motorcycle accident. In 1998 Wayne married Marie Kinnison. Marie also had children: Candace, Tina and Brett.
