Tracy Vernon Ham was called home to our Lord on September 21st, 2019, at UC Health in Aurora, CO. Tracy was born July 30th, 1980, on a hot summer day in Haxtun, CO to Rodney Lee and Patti Irene (Johnson) Ham.
Tracy was a 1999 Haxtun High School graduate. He went on to further his education at NJC and UNC majoring in Special Education. Tracy returned home to the family farm and worked at Haxtun High School in many capacities. Tracy especially enjoyed coaching during this time.
He was a lifelong member of the Haxtun United Methodist Church. For 13 years, Tracy was a member of the Haxtun Volunteer Fire Department. He was also a member of FFA, a volunteer coach for Haxtun Pee Wee Wrestling Club, and coached for the Fleming Wrestling Team.
Tracy (Melyssa) and of this union were born Mollie Irene and Jaymie Rene’. Mollie (5) and Jaymie (2) were the absolute love of his life.
Where ever there were children, you could find Tracy. He always had a passion for touching the lives of the youth, and he found that in teaching. Tracy always had a helpful way and truly appreciated giving. When he had spare time, he loved the outdoors and especially fishing. He also enjoyed his time as a coach in football, wrestling, and track over the years. Tracy enjoyed sports of all kinds and there was never a shortage of his chance to put in a few “jabs” to his friends who were fans of Nebraska (Go CU Buffs!). And as with so many, “Once a Bulldog, always a Bulldog!”
Tracy is survived by his two daughters, Mollie and Jaymie Ham (Haxtun), parents Rodney and Patti Ham (Haxtun), sister Marcie Davis and husband Michael and their children Marshall and Macie (Haxtun). Also survived by many loving Aunts, Uncles, cousins and family.
Tracy is preceded in death by his grandparents, Lyle and Darlene Ham and Jerry and Jeanne Stiner
Services were held at the Haxtun United Methodist Church on September 26th, 2019, at 10:30 am. Tracy was laid to rest at the Haxtun Cemetary. All services were performed by Paster Jeri Soens.
