Taryn Arnold Obituary

Taryn Marie Arnold (Cannella) passed away January 20, 2019. Taryn was born on March 28, 1984 to Samuel and Cheryl Cannella. She grew up in Calhan, Colorado on the family’s beloved cattle ranch. From a young age, she enjoyed being outside, helping on the ranch, traveling, and spending weekends at mustang shows riding in her favorite blue mustang. Taryn was involved in 4-H from the time that she was eight years old. She spent most of her days in the barn with her animals, or riding her four-wheeler up in the bluffs and hiking up to her favorite spot to take in the scenery that would always remind her of home. From that time, she had such a love for animals and all things agriculture. She was a 2002 graduate of the Calhan School District; which she had attended since Kindergarten. Taryn attended Northeastern Junior College and Colorado State University where she was on the livestock judging team for both schools. It was around this time that she met her soon-to-be husband, Dwight Arnold. In 2008, they decided to make their new start in Joes, Colorado after having lived in Hudson for several years. Taryn and Dwight married on May 23, 2009. Taryn and Dwight both managed their fencing business, Round-Up Enterprises. She took so much pride in their business and spent many, many hours in the skid steer and on the fence line. Aside from the business, Taryn also had a great passion for rodeo and her Maine-Anjou cattle herd which she raised and sold to local 4-H members for their projects. She enjoyed traveling and always mentioned that the trip to Hawaii is one that would always be at the top of the list. She had such an adventurous soul and loved seeing new places, experiencing new things, and truly enjoying all of the beauty that surrounded her. Taryn especially loved being outdoors and spending time in the mountains fishing, hiking, or horseback riding. Among all of her talents and passions, she always made it a priority to spend time with her family. Taryn truly had a heart of gold, a smile that could light up any room, and touched so many lives without ever even realizing it.

Taryn is survived by her spouse of nine years, Dwight Arnold; Dwight’s daughters: Hope (Chadd) Dimit and their children Addison, Bowen, & Casen; Brooke (Brian) Rochelle; her mother Cheryl Cannella; father Samuel (Dorie) Cannella Jr.; father-in-law Daryl Arnold; her sister Tayla (Traynor) Whitehead; her brother-in law Boyd (Helen) Arnold; her sister-in-law Shelly (Jim) Gabel, her sister-in-law Trudy (Kevin) Bell; and grandmothers Mary Jane Kobilan and Myra Gladys Cannella. She is also survived by many other relatives including aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her two grandfathers, Andrew Kobilan and Samuel Cannella Sr.; and mother-in-law Mary Arnold.
