The world has lost a beautiful soul. Sarah Anna Davisson passed away on Friday, November 8, 2019.
She was born on March 5, 1929 to George Washington Davisson and Nora May Godfrey Davisson in Kirk, CO. She was the youngest of their children and the first to graduate from High School.
She attended business school and went on to live in Denver where she worked for a trucking company in accounting until her retirement. She never married. She never had children. She spent her entire life dedicated to caring for her family and those around her. When she retired, she moved back to her family homestead outside of Kirk to run the farm like her parents and brother Lew had done.
She loved the farm and wanted to share her passion for it and its history with the generations that followed. She also enjoyed volunteering, bowling, quilting, puzzles, and reading.
She is preceded in death by her parents George Washington Davisson and Nora May Godfrey Davisson and her siblings: Lewis A. Davisson, William E. Davisson, Franklin T. Davisson, Hazel M. Higdon, Arthur J. Davisson, Mary E. Davisson, Mabel A Willhite, Jane M. Jackson, Fred E. Davisson, Ella O. Davisson, and Laura E. Black.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, November 16, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at the Methodist Church in Kirk, CO. with burial to follow at Lucas Memorial Cemetery.
