Paul Lee Ross

Paul Lee Ross was born on March 6, 1936 to William C. and Georgia C. (Immenschuh) Ross in Denver, Colorado. He passed away on October 1, 2018 at the Yuma District Hospital in Yuma, Colorado at the age of 82.

            Paul graduated from Saint Francis de Sales High School in 1954. He attended the School of Mines for three years before joining the US Army to serve in the Corps of Engineers from 1958-1962.

            He married Bernice Marie Cruickshank on December 16, 1960 in Schwetzingen, Germany. They were remarried on December 18, 1960 in the United States for the government to recognize the legality of their marriage. They were blessed with four beautiful children: Anne, William, John, and Daniel.
            Paul worked as a survey engineer for several companies, contributing to the construction of several hydroelectric dams and NORAD. He then went to work for Coors Brewing Company from 1966-1989. Later, Paul worked with his wife for Atmospheric Instrumentation Research. He retired in 2002.

            Paul and his wife moved to Yuma, Colorado in 2006. Paul and his son, William, started Quest Services in 2008 to perform irrigation well testing and certifications. In 2012, they incorporated Quest Services to include recycling in the tri-state area.

            Paul had a passion for woodworking and classical music. He was several organizations including the Knights of Columbus, the Weld County RE-3J school board, the Lochbuie city council and planning commission, and the Weld County volunteer victim advocates.

            Paul was preceded in death by his parents, William and Georgia Ross; his wife, Bernice; his sister-in-law, Amy Cruickshank; and his granddaughter, Tanya Henderson. He is survived by his brother, Glenn Ross; his brother-in-law, Claude Cruickshank; his daughter and son-in-law, Anne and Phil Rose; his sons, William and John Ross; his son and daughter-in-law, Daniel and Brenda Ross; seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

A memorial service was held at the St. John’s Catholic Church in Yuma, Colorado on October 9, 2018 at 10:00 A.M.  The service was officiated by Father Felicien Mbala.  Burial will take place at a later date at the Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver, Colorado.  Baucke Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
