Mable Roene Snelling

Mable Roene Snelling was born on April 10 1940 in Eckley, Colorado to Marlin
and Sylvia (Fincher) Ritchey. She passed away on August 17, 2017 at her home in
Yuma Colorado, with family by her side, after losing her battle with cancer.
Mable married Wilbur Lee Snelling in 1957, to this union six children were born;
Sharon, Vicki, Allen, Daniel, Nancy, and Kathy.
Mable was co-owner and bookkeeper of S & S Service along side of Wilbur.
Mable was a wife, mother, grandmother, and all around home maker. She loved sewing
making most of the dresses for the girls and shirts for the boys, quilting, canning and
camping with the family. Mable loved spending time with her children and
grandchildren.
Mable was preceded in death by husband Wilbur Snelling, parents Marlin and
Sylvia Ritchey, parent in laws Roy and Ethel Snelling, brothers Sonny and Gene
Ritchey, nephew Drew Ritchey, Brother in laws Don Harr, Morris Harr, Mike Aagesen,
Jerrold Snelling, and Lenard Snelling, sister in laws Edith Harr, Lila Harr, Carla Aagesen
and Hannalore Snelling.
Mable is survived by her six children; daughter Sharon and husband Alan Hayes
of Rifle,Colorado, daughter Vicki and husband Terry Wade of Akron, Colorado, son
Allen and wife Joanne Snelling of Colorado Springs, son Daniel and wife Ronda
Snelling of Yuma, Colorado, daughter Nancy and husband Marvin Gross of Ft. Morgan,
Colorado, Kathy and husband Derrick Fulghum of Colorado Spring, Colorado, along
with sixteen grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren, brother in law Gary and
wife Joan Snelling of Yuma,Colorado and sister in law Gloria Snelling of Cincinnati,
Ohio.
The funeral service was held on Thursday, August 24, 2017 at 10:00 am at the
First Presbyterian Church of Yuma Colorado with Pastor Donna Herman officiating.
Interment at the Grandview Cemetery in Wray, Colorado. Baucke Funeral Home
directed the service.
