Lyle Samuel Lundgren

Lyle Samuel Lundgren was born on June 15, 1938 to Carl Lundgren and Ellen Marie (Wengert) Lundgren  in Haxtun, Colorado.  He passed away on December 16, 2017 at his home in Haxtun, Colorado he was 79 years of age. 

Lyle graduated from the Haxtun High School with the class of 1956. 

Lyle served his country in the US Army.  Lyle protected the Berlin Wall in Germany as it was being built. 

Lyle was married on June 19, 1966 in Daily, Colorado. 

Lyle was self-employed as a farmer along with having his own Custom Harvest Crew.  His harvest crews covered a large area all the way from Texas to Montana.  He operated the harvest crews for over twenty years from 1971 until 1992.  In 2012 he retired from farming. 

Lyle loved his farming operation along with woodworking, rodeos, he competed in the bareback horse riding competitions and enjoyed the local fairs. 

Lyle was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Ellen Marie; daughter, Amy Lee; two brothers, Melvin Lundgren and Harold Lundgren.

Lyle is survived by his two sons, Justin Lundgren of Haxtun, Colorado and Eric Lundgren of Evergreen, Colorado;  One daughter, Kelly Harms of Yuma, Colorado; six grandchildren, four nephews and one niece along with many other relatives and friends.

There was visitation at the United Methodist Church in Haxtun, Colorado on Thursday, December 21, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.  The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, December 22, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Haxtun, Colorado with Pastor Jeri Soens officiating.  Interment followed at the Haxtun Cemetery in Haxtun, Colorado.  Baucke Funeral Home directed the service.
