Kacee Lucile Blomme

Kacee Blomme, age 43, passed away on January 29, 2019 in the care of the amazing staff of CHI Bergan Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska.  She was born on December 19, 1975 in Holyoke, Colorado and is the beloved daughter of Harold and Carole Blomme of Holyoke, Colorado and the loved sister of Kevin, Keith, Kerry, Kraig and Kelly and the auntie to many nieces and nephews.

Kacee attended The Holyoke schools and graduated with the class of 1994.  After High School she attended Northeastern Junior College and graduated with an associate's degree. 

Kacee worked as a grain merchandiser at the Holyoke Elevator for four or five years.  She then went to Texas where she worked in a Packing Plant.  She returned to Colorado for awhile encountering poor health issues and later going to Nebraska however she never became a Cornhusker Fan. 

While in North Platte, Kacee along with Paws for Positive Partners opened and operated a pet food pantry. 

Kacee loved to tie blankets gifting her nieces and nephews and many  babies with them.  Other favorite past times were beading beautiful bracelets and writing poetry. 

Kacee  loved family gatherings and being with nieces and nephews.  In Texas she drove to work passing an orphanage.  This saddened her so she did a Christmas drive for toys for the children. She received so many toy donations they were able to send some of them to second and third orphanages.  She was very honored by the success of the toy drive. 

Kacee was a big supporter of 4-H  all of her life.  She completed numerous projects along with a book for each project.  One year she had twelve projects and no one has done that many since.  In the later years her resumes for jobs and interviews were good and her bosses were amazed with her ability to organize and finish her work. 

Kacee will be remembered for her immense love for animals and passion for cats.  She devoted the last five years of her life to cats by opening her home and arms to them.  Her love for animals started by growing up on the farm south of Holyoke raising rabbits, chickens, turkeys, sheep, goats, pigs and cows.  She is remembered for her loving smile, infectious laugh and warm heart. 

Kacee is survived by her parents, Harold and Carole Blomme, brothers, Kevin, Kerry, Kraig and Kelly along with many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.  She was preceded in death by her brother, Keith Blomme. 

The Rosary was held on Sunday, February 3, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. and Funeral service was held on Monday, February 4, 2019 at 10:00 a.m.   Both were at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Holyoke, Colorado with Father Jerry Rohr officiating.  Interment followed at the Holyoke Cemetery.
