Johnnie Lee Bearce was born on March 17, 1932 to David and Fanny (Combs) Bearce in Alma, Colorado and he passed away on April 14, 2018 at the Yuma District Hospital in Yuma, Colorado at the age of 86.
Johnnie attended school through the eighth grade. He married Mary Sue Thomas in Steamboat Springs, Colorado.
Johnnie worked as a Heavy Equipment Operator and a Drag Line Operator in sand and gravel.
Johnnie collected copper horses and antique clocks. He will be remembered for his big heart that he shared with everyone.
Johnnie was preceded in death by his parents David and Fannie Bearce; his in-laws, Ralph and Bonnie Thomas; two sisters, Edith and Ethel and three half-brothers, Ralph, Dorval and Robert.
Johnnie will be greatly missed by his wife, Mary Sue Bearce; sons, Johnnie, Audie and Perry and daughter, Allioise; five grandchildren, Colleen and James Cooper, Katie and Kayla Bearce and Michael Bearce; nine great grandchildren along with many other relatives and friends.
The Memorial Service was held on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at Baucke Funeral Home Chapel in Yuma, Colorado with Randall Feather of Otis First Presbyterian Church officiating. Baucke Funeral Home directed the service.
