Dennis D. Hagemann

Dennis Dewain Hagemann, of Holyoke, Colorado died May 21, 2018 at the age of 78. Dennis was born in Holyoke to Harold Glenn and Vera Jaycox Hageman on November 21, 1939. He married Lynda Louise Galitz on June 3, 1962 in Julesburg, Colorado. To their marriage they had two children, Denise and Ken, and one grandchild, McKenzie Nicole. They were married 54 years.

Dennis grew up on the family farm North of Holyoke and graduated from Holyoke High School. He spent his career working for the United States Postal Service for greater than 40 years and spent time working with his father at the Holyoke Liquor Store. His postal retirement was featured by a Denver TV news station focusing on his longevity in this profession.

Dennis enjoyed fishing, camping, reading, and traveling. He and his wife spent many years traveling through various countries, including being remarried on a trip to Germany.

He is survived by his daughter Denise Hagemann, son Ken, grand-daughter McKenzie Wright, sister Deanna Hagemann, sister-in-law’s Raeann Galitz and Lollie Macrun, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Harold and Vera Hagemann, his brother Garry, and wife Lynda.
