Daniel Joseph Castillo-Greigo

Daniel Joseph Castillo-Griego became an angel in the arms of his mother surrounded by family on March 1, 2019 at the Yuma District Hospital. Daniel was born on October 17, 2017 to Robert and Sophia Griego. Little Daniel was born with spina bifida and many challenges in his path that we knew he would face but we blessed him with the gift of life and he blessed all who knew him with seeing the miracle we take for granted with a healthy child. Every day seeing him overcome obstacles that doctor’s said he would never do. He was truly a #SBwarrior in his short life he lived. Giving love and happiness to anyone who came around him. Never without a smile.

The family would like to thank his physical therapist Greg Collins, Jesse his speech therapist and Michelle Keiser his occupational therapist and many doctors and nurses who assisted during his life.

A special thank you to Richard and Mary Munoz and daughter Victoria Munoz of Thornton, Colorado for being by his side until parents could make it for travel on the many trips to Denver.

Daniel is survived by 3 siblings Yesenia Castillo, Susanna Castillo, and Robert Griego Jr. His paternal grandparent Robert Pisano of Greeley, his aunt Dolores Casillas of Greeley. Maternal grandparents Gustavo Rico and Alice Castillo-Rico of Yuma, Co. Uncle Salvadore Castillo of Arizona. Cousins Elena Jacobo of Greeley and Kaiah Castillo of Arizona and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Preceded in death by sister Mariella Castillo paternal grandmother Rosalie Griego great grandparents Isabel and Dolores Griego and maternal grandfather Daniel Castillo. Great grandparents Martin and Juanita Munoz, Uncle Christopher "Cannon" Munoz. Flowers and cards can be sent to Baucke funeral home in Yuma, Colorado. 

There will be a memorial service on Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at the First Church of the Nazarene in Yuma, Colorado.  Baucke Funeral Home directed the service.
