Billie "Bill" Lee McFarland

Billie Lee McFarland, 80, of Yuma, Colorado went home to see the Lord on September 6th, 2017.

Bill was born October 16th, 1936, six miles north east of Robb, Colorado to Jessie and Agnes (Jones) McFarland. Bill served in the Army from 1955 through 1963, and was stationed in Europe during that time. While working at IBM as a Manager for 25 years he met and married his wife Marilyn (Busey) McFarland, and shared a life together for nearly 31 years until her passing in 1999. It was at this time he sold his business in Estes Park, Colorado to move back home to Yuma where he resided until his passing as the counties best golfer.

Bill is proceeded in death by his parents, Jessie and Agnes, along with his sister, Louise (McFarland) Vance, and his wife Marilyn.

Bill leaves behind his loving family, Son, Danny McFarland of Klamath Falls, Oregon, Daughters Judy McFarland of Longmont, Colorado, Teresa McFarland of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Niki Rajendran of Denver, Colorado. He has three grandchildren, Katie Smolak of Brighton (husband Jesse), Taylor Crawford of Bend, Oregon, and Cyrus Rajendran (5) of Denver, Colorado. Bill also leave two great-grandchildren, Jack (6) and Mason (4) Smolak of Brighton, Colorado. Bill was lovingly adopted by the Serl Family of Yuma, Colorado, and leaves their hearts behind as well as an extension of his own family.

A celebration of his life was held as the Yuma United Methodist Church on September 11th, 2017 with pastor Jaime Nieves Officiating. The Family asks that in lieu of flowers to please consider donations to the Hospice of the Plains Inc.
