Ruth Anne McMurdy

Ruth Anne McMurdy, 90, of Corpus Christi, Texas died on March 17, 2017 at home.

Born August 31, 1926 in Holyoke Colorado, she was the daughter of the late Loren and Myrtle (Mitchell) Clayton.  She was the wife of Nash Edwin McMurdy, her husband of 64 years.  They established their home on a farm near Holyoke, Colorado until moving to Delta, Colorado in 1969.  Nash and Ruth returned to Holyoke in 1989.  Ruth loved to cook, sew, knit, decorate cakes and other artistic endeavors.  They moved to Hanover, Pennsylvania in 2001 to be near their son Ron.   Nash preceded her in death July 2008.   She  moved to Corpus Christi, Texas to live with Ronald and Patricia McMurdy. 

In addition to her husband, Ruth is preceded in death by her daughter, Marianne Wible of Palmdale, CA; her granddaughter, Denys (Wible) Casagrande of Lancaster, CA; and her brother Willard Clayton of Holyoke, CO. 

Survivors include two children, Ronald of Corpus Christi, TX, Marlin of Fremont, NE;  two grandchildren, Becky (Wible) Andrade of Marshfield, MO; Jason McMurdy of New Hall, CA; and three great-grandchildren Sophie and Jacob McMurdy and Wade Andrade; her sister Thelma Waln, Lancaster, CA; as well as  numerous nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services will be held Wednesday March 22, 2017 2:00 p.m. officiating Pastor Verl Roth  at The First Baptist Church of Holyoke,   Interment will be in the Holyoke Cemetery. The Baucke Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
