Marilyn Rae Stroh was born June 2, 1931 in Greeley, CO to William and Vera Schneider. She passed away on March 10, 2017 at the age of 85 surrounded by her family.

Marilyn was raised in the Wiggins & Orchard, CO area. She had a twin sister and 2 brothers.  After attending and graduating from high school in Wiggins, CO, Marilyn attended Colorado Women’s College in Greeley, Co on a scholarship majoring in mathematics.

While attending college, Marilyn married William Stroh in 1950. The 1st couple years of married life where spent as a military bride at Ft. Bragg, NC. After that, they moved back to Wiggins, CO and purchased their first family farm.  In 1970 they moved to Holyoke, CO where they began their own farming and feedlot operation. Marilyn was very passionate about doing anything that needed to be done on the farm and with her favorite hobbies.  She loved spending time outdoors in her beautifully manicured yard and huge garden. Cooking was another of her favorite things. No one walked away from her table without being happily well fed by her cooking expertise.  She loved cooking huge meals from those who worked on the cattle processing crews and harvest crews were spoiled with one of her favorite recipes for cabbage pockets. Marilyn had such a gracious heart. She could find the positive in every situation and every person she met. Marilyn could get more done with a smile and a question of genuine concern. She loved having company whether it was family or friends and it truly showed through the smile on her face.

Marilyn is preceded in death by sons, Larry and Tim Stroh; twin Sister Marjorie Schneider; parents William & Vera Schneider and Brothers George and Harlan Schneider.

She is survived by husband William of 67+ years of Holyoke; son Duane Stroh and wife Melissa; son Tom Stroh and girlfriend  Sue Marreel ; daughter Linda and husband Charles Flint; 6 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren due in Oct.

Marilyn was a member of the 1st Christian Church.

Services will be held 2pm, Thursday, March 16, 2017 at Baucke Funeral Home-1220 SW Interocean Drive in Holyoke, CO. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Melissa Memorial Hospital.
