Liz McCall Obituary

Liz McCall was born to Robert “Bob” and Patricia “Pat” Wolff in Yuma, Colorado on February 23,1960. Liz started working at a very young age helping her father, Bob, move equipment and running push CAT. She played volleyball, basketball, and softball both intermural and in school. She enjoyed hunting and fishing trips with her father and thoroughly enjoyed the outdoors. She graduated from Yuma High School in 1978 and attended Northeastern Junior College where she graduated in 1979. She then moved to California where she worked for Electronic Data Systems (EDS). At EDS, she was a main frame data entry crew leader and managed data entry personnel.

She moved back to Denver, Colorado in 1989. On one of her trips to Yuma to see her family she met her future husband Tim.  They were married August 4th 1991 at the Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church. Tim and Liz started their lives together by her joining the farming operation with Tim and his father. On the farm, she ran the tractor and combine raising corn, wheat, sunflowers, and proso millet.  She was also the Chief Financial Officer for the farm. In October of 1991 they welcomed son Robert Wencil. Liz then became a stay at home mom. In November of 1995 they welcomed Mary Kate Nicole into the family.  A few years later, Liz began working again, helping Allen Kipp with his farm.

Liz’s passion for basketball was transferred to her children.  She loved attending all her kids’ basketball games, as well as other sporting events. She supported her children and her Lone Star kids through 4-H, school functions, FFA and after school pit stops at the farm. She always made sure her “kids” were fed.

She was fully committed to her family life, even while working in the hay field, taking care of the house, animals and managing the farm’s finances. The custom haying operation was fully dependent on Liz.  Not only did she take care of the finances, she was also a big part of the daily field operations. She was enthusiastic about spoiling her new grandson Allen Wencil who was born March 20th 2018.

She is proceeded in death by her parents Bob and Pat Wolff, grandparents Harry and Esther Wolff, Monahan grandparents, Tim’s grandparents Bob and Minnie Korf, and many extended friends and family.

Liz leaves behind her husband Tim, her son Robert and his wife Kelsey, her grandson Allen, her daughter Mary Kate, Tim’s parents Dale and Judy McCall, her siblings Teresa Edwards, Cathy Wolff, and Mike Wolff, Tim’s sister and her husband Karla and Steve Waltman, her aunt Mary Badhe, her nieces Katie Rupp, Sara Edwards, and Caitlyn Murphy, and her nephews Chase Murphy, Derek Edwards and Devon Edwards.  Liz also leaves many other dear friends and family.
