Kristi Dian Appelhans died on November 13, 2015 in Yuma, CO at the age of 54, after a courageous battle with cancer. Kristi was born January 31, 1961 in Greeley, CO.

She leaves behind her husband, Kelly Appelhans; her sons, Trent Nelson, Caleb Nelson (BreAnn Lightle) of Yuma, and Brandon Valdez (Jackie Valdez) of Thornton, CO; also her grandson, Vincent Valdez. As well as, her mother Marilyn K. Goeglein of Yuma and biological father George Danforth III of Greeley, CO.

Also survived by her siblings Becky Glaze (Chris Glaze) of Lee's Summit, MO and their children Matthew and Katie; Kent Goeglein (Renee Goeglein) of Yuma and their children Kendall, Molly, and Kyler.

Kristi is also survived by her mother in law Doris Appelhans of Thornton, CO, Sister in law Betty Unger and her son Shawn Michael Unger of Thornton, CO; her brother in law Wayne Appelhans (Annette Appelhans) of Thornton, CO and their son Nathan Appelhans.

She is preceded in death by her father Kenneth R. Goeglein, her father in law Kenneth Appelhans, her mother and father in law Don and Shirley Nelson.

Kristi enjoyed her work in the agribusiness industry. She loved attending her son's sports activities and spending time her with her grandson every chance she got. Kristi was a member of the Yuma Hot Rod Community and spent much time attending car shows. She touched many lives and was well known throughout the Yuma Community.

Services will be November 18, 2015 at 10:30am and held at St. John's Lutheran Church, followed by burial at Yuma Cemetery – Yuma, CO. The family would especially like to thank Shari Barker, a close family friend, for her never ending support; the staff of Yuma Hospital for their constant, attentive treatment; and the Baucke Funeral Home, for making the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred.
