Edna M. (Manuwal) Cauling was born December 21, 1923 to Frank and Dora Manuwal .  She spent most of her young life in and around Limon, CO.

She married Charles (Tod) Cauling in August of 1942.  To this union 3 daughters, Phyllis, Charlene and Janice were born.  They farmed and ranched in the Matheson, CO area until 1950 when they moved to Elbert, CO.  Tod operated a mechanic /blacksmith shop until his death in 1970.  Edna worked many years in the area including head cook at the Elbert School, cleaned houses for many people and worked in the carnation and rose greenhouses.  In 1983 she moved to Wray, CO to be near her youngest daughter, Janice.  She worked for the Alfalfa Plant making vitamins and worked in the kitchen at the nursing home in Wray, CO.  She lived a very happy and healthy life until heath conditions required her to move into assisted living in Holyoke, CO.  As her health diminished she was transferred to the nursing home in Holyoke, Co. until her passing.

She is preceded in death by her husband Tod, her parents, her brother Samuel and his wife Ethel, her sisters Elizabeth and her husband Mose, Roma and her husband Stanley, Betty and her husband Lowell, and her brother-in-law Dean Rich.  She is survived by her sister Katherine Rich who is 94 years of age and resides in Minnesota.   She is also survived by her daughter Phyllis and her husband Albert of Colorado, her daughter Charlene and her husband Bill of Arizona and her daughter Janice and husband Oscar of Oregon.

In addition she is survived by 4 grandchildren:  Karen and her husband Bob Tackwell, Jeff Buchholz, Laura and her husband Lyn Gorton, and Rhonda and her husband Larry Hester.  From these grandchildren she was blessed with 10 great grandchildren and 6 great –great grandchildren.  She also has a number of surviving nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

She will be laid to rest by her husband Tod in the Elbert Cemetery on Friday, February 10, 2017 at 2:00 p.m.   Arrangements directed by Baucke Funeral Home.
